Once you have obtained the Data and Analytics Connector from the NowWeComply store you can download Power BI Desktop and Gateway from https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/.
With Power BI Desktop and Gateway installed the next step is to set up a DSN. Run c:\windows\system32\odbcad32.exe and create a new DSN entering the relevant credentials.
Once the DSN is created, you can open Power BI Desktop and select Get Data from the menu bar and then choose ODBC type connection.
Select your new DSN from the dropdown and if necessary add any desired SQL filtering and then re-enter the username and password.
If you have not applied any SQL filtering then you will be presented with the database structure. You can select the relevant view you want to use or use SQL to create a query and JOIN underlying tables to analyse data directly against the tables.
