What is the Sequencer?

The sequencer is the workflow engine within ALX.

This is where you use all the objects you have created to build and run your processes.

The Sequencer can handle thousands of processes, events, tasks and communication all at the same time.

It will switch from one route or process to another dependent on the response it gets back from a user or target and will track expiry dates so that reminders are sent out well in advance.

The main features of the Sequencer are:

• Drag and drop interface
• Processes can be triggered to commence under various circumstances including creation and update of records, scheduling and when certain points in a "main" process have been reached
• Ability to create “intelligent” pathways based on field data, previous task outcomes, completion of a set of tasks, response from third party systems, etc
• Ability to monitor activity in a set of tasks and take action based on status, task outcome, etc
• Send bespoke messages (email and SMS) to internal and external users and third parties who never log in
• Ability to connect to 3rd party systems via API
