Detail:
Centralisation to Authentication mechanism for API calls
A new feature is being introduced that will allow the centralised management of authentication for integrations (API connectors and Email). This feature will assist the administrators of larger systems where often the change-management of complex sequences featuring multiple API actors is a significant overhead when an authentication arrangement changes. This feature simplifies this by enabling a single authentication end point for multiple API and email actors, rather than the per-actor model currently employed.
Eventually, the roadmap for the feature will see it include support for the full range of authentication mechanisms currently supported in the API actor including generic oAuth/ oAuth 2, Basic, Digest and API key based techniques with support for both symmetric and asymmetric token signing/ encryption. This initial release includes support for iManage DMS and RAVN ML initially, with MS Modern Auth for IMAP to follow next.
