Change a Criteria Response Type to target field completion

If an active criteria that is not a Target Field Completion response type needs to be changed to a Target Field Completion response type, then it should be handled very carefully; If the Criteria response is changed without following the steps outlined below then the responses from targets who have already completed the criteria will not be accessible from here on, through sequencing.

It is very important to maintain both the integrity and accessibility of your data therefore the following steps need to occur in the order shown.

Create the target Field

If the target field has not already been created then create it.

Create a Sequence

Create a sequence and use a SET TARGET actor to update the new target field for all targets that will be affected.

Use the trigger conditions to identify which targets need to be updated and ensure that the trigger(s) are set to When Sequence Run

Run the sequence and spot check that the update worked (look at the Target record).

Edit the Criteria to a Target Field Completion type and select the Target Field(s) to update
